Open Position: Secretary
The Secretary of the Iowa AEYC Governing Board plays a critical leadership role, working closely with the current President, Board members, and Executive Director to support the strategic direction, represent the interests of early childhood educators, and maintain records of all meetings, correspondence, and legal documents. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader committed to advancing Iowa AEYC’s mission and shaping the future of early childhood educators.
This position is part of the Governing Board and Executive Committee, and whoever fills the spot is expected to attend all meetings, which are quarterly: July, September, January, and March. Meetings are generally held on Saturdays, and all meetings are in-person, with the exception of the January meetings, which are held virtually. Meeting information is listed within the application.
You can nominate someone or complete the information to nominate yourself. The deadline to nominate someone for the Board is December 12.
