As an affiliate of NAEYC, Iowa AEYC is proud to support celebrations and activities around Week of the Young Child® (WOYC) in early care and education programs. If you would like to be considered for a mini grant for your program’s WOYC activities, please fill out this application!

This year’s Week of the Young Child is taking place April 5-11, 2025. WOYC events are designed to bring public attention to the importance of the early childhood years and to celebrate all early childhood education settings, providers, families, and young children. We will award mini grants to applicants who have outlined plans to participate in and/or host a WOYC event that elevates the importance of developmentally appropriate practices and encourages healthy lifestyles through music, food, and art.

This year, we have $3,000 to award! We will distribute the grant money according to need, as outlined in your application. We will award up to $700 per program. You can request $100-700 for your WOYC project – requests may be funded partially or in full. Applications are due February 28th and awards will be announced the first week of March.

**Please note, Week of the Young Child grant applications are only open to Iowa AEYC/NAEYC members. We ask that only center directors and home providers fill out this application so that we do not get multiple applications per program.
